SoundAffects works to enhance the global citizenship curriculum in schools worldwide, through the medium of professionally recorded audio material. So far, the charity has worked primarily to enhance existing school international links, and currently runs projects in Ghana and Sri Lanka. Through this work SoundAffects has accumulated a valuable archive of professional audio material of children in the South talking their daily lives and contributing to projects on topics ranging from playground games, to religion or music. In recognition that this material has far wider potential for use as an educational resource, SoundAffects is now working to make audio recordings (with accompanying teachers notes and lesson plans) available via the SoundAffects website or for purchase on DVD. To help in the development of this material SoundAffects is inviting teachers and heads to answer a short survey. It will be giving away two topics of audio and lesson plans worth £30 to anyone who takes part.
